My internship has been different than what I expected because when I heard that I was going to work on hospital I thought I was going to be able to see patients. but when I am there I am siting in a office filing papers and working in a computer. what's similar and different about the culture of my internship workplace environment compared to my school is that, in my internship you work with only adult, you working on just one thing and you will not have to leave this room and go to another room, you only stay in specific department doing your work. While at my school I work with students and adult at the same time and I have different classes, each period I have to move to a new room.
Some new skills I have learned that I will be able to apply at other jobs are. For example, I have learned to become a better typist, because it helps me practicing my typing skill and there will be some job that will require you to have a typin skills. At my job site the co-workers are friendly, nicely and respectfull to me. My mentor is something else, he is like a councelor to me he wlaways giving me advice he is like a father to me. Working in a place with all those adult is kinda helpful in a lot of way, because it makes me thinking more about my future, it makes me become more mature and more serious in things that I am doing. Since the bigening of internship my english have improved by practicing with other people at the site I am working. Some communication skills I have gained is listenig and a lil bit in writing. I don't have no task that they give me at my internship now that I cannot handle. I always find a way to ma work easy for me. This altered schedule affected me a lot because it makes me cannot return my work on time. Two I hope to accomplish during the remaining weeks that I have left are, be able to type without looking at the keyboard and be able to write an essay whithout exitation.
some new things I learned about New York as a result of being out and about is that is a really big country, and specially Manhathan there are a lot of places where you can go to have fun.
