My internship has been different than what I expected because when I heard that I was going to work on hospital I thought I was going to be able to see patients. but when I am there I am siting in a office filing papers and working in a computer. what's similar and different about the culture of my internship workplace environment compared to my school is that, in my internship you work with only adult, you working on just one thing and you will not have to leave this room and go to another room, you only stay in specific department doing your work. While at my school I work with students and adult at the same time and I have different classes, each period I have to move to a new room.
Some new skills I have learned that I will be able to apply at other jobs are. For example, I have learned to become a better typist, because it helps me practicing my typing skill and there will be some job that will require you to have a typin skills. At my job site the co-workers are friendly, nicely and respectfull to me. My mentor is something else, he is like a councelor to me he wlaways giving me advice he is like a father to me. Working in a place with all those adult is kinda helpful in a lot of way, because it makes me thinking more about my future, it makes me become more mature and more serious in things that I am doing. Since the bigening of internship my english have improved by practicing with other people at the site I am working. Some communication skills I have gained is listenig and a lil bit in writing. I don't have no task that they give me at my internship now that I cannot handle. I always find a way to ma work easy for me. This altered schedule affected me a lot because it makes me cannot return my work on time. Two I hope to accomplish during the remaining weeks that I have left are, be able to type without looking at the keyboard and be able to write an essay whithout exitation.
some new things I learned about New York as a result of being out and about is that is a really big country, and specially Manhathan there are a lot of places where you can go to have fun.

It takes me an hour everyday to get at my internship. I reach home at 9:00 o'clock everyday and went straight to sleep, (lamo that's really funny (Dodo). I work four days a week, from 1:00 o'clock to 4;00 o'clock PM in total it comes three hours because i take one hour for break, my mentor don't count it. my mentor is the only person that sigh my time sheet.
Four weeks into internship
My internship site full name is "Hospital For Joint Disesae." I have been doing a lot of different work in my internship, I dont really know my job title, I will have to talk with my mentor to come up with one. My compagny only provide handicaped, only people that have problem on their legs, legs surgery. my site provide a ability for people who cannot walk to walk. Three task i regularly do at my internship site are. first go sigh in in the office, after that go eat and then go in the medical record office, say hi to everyone and go find Macen my mentor to show me what to do for the day. Sometime he give me a bunch of papers that have patients IDN which is their medical record number to put in the computer so I can go look their imformations, print them and give them to him. I don't work with my mentor, i don't know a lot about him only one thing i know about him is that he's really concern about me, what kind of things i am doing outside, each day i come to his he always ask me how was my day at school, he always have a advice for me. a day i will never forget is when my lovely Teacher came to see me at my site, i don't know i was so excited when my mentor came to me and RuthCharla and said come with me and i ask Ruth what happens and then when we go i saw Ms Sherien i was ecstatic i dont really know why but she made my day and my week. something i really enjoy about my internship is working with all those people and never really have a special site to do my work, i work with almost everybody in the office. the most challenging part of my internship is stay on that computer for hours

My Two Weeks (Feb.22- March4)
my first thoughts when i get at my internship was that i will have to work a lot and that my internship will be boring. Because i only see paper, and i have friends that being working in there already in the Medical Record Office said that they will give me to do a lot of work, something like filing papers. I was so mad that first day because that was not what i was asking for. Since that first day i started i see that i am learning a new thing in my life and i said " let's not worry about other stuff that i wanted to do that i couldn't, let's just focus in what they give me to do and do it well. " So the first day, they made me go to the computer and finding patient Medical Record information and print them and after a while i went to eat in the cafeteria and come back to work. I sat in a computer all day and when its 4 o'oclock i said bye. My mentor is really cool with me it's easy for me to understand when is talking to me. He also give some advice
